The CandyShot Liquor Shop is a 1950s ice cream parlor-themed liquor store in Englewood that is changing the way we all think about where and how we buy our alcohol. The owner, Austin Martinson, the owner of 30-plus businesses, came up with the idea for The CandyShot in August of 2020 after his plans to open a cannabis shop were turned down due to a zoning issue. He explains, “This, however, worked out for the best after I was forced to return to the drawing board, and my crew and I came up with this gem of an idea.”
Sticking to the 1950s Ice Cream Parlor theme, The CandyShot allows you to buy “scoops, half gallons, and gallons,” which are actually their way of measuring out their fun and vast assortment of wines, beers, and liquors. If that’s not fun enough, Austin shared that there is a “huge bathtub filled with 100s and 100s of shots” just waiting to be in the background of your next selfie, before you take your scoops to the register. You just can’t pass that up.
