Man, this song slaps! I always find myself turning it up and boogieing!

Over the weekend, many conversations have been about authenticity. One of my good friends just posted about her transformation starting from the inside and the outside representing it. The next day a close business partner was talking almost the same lines about culture and authenticity for a company.

Always bothered me how America cares so much about image and band aid fixes. Everything is taking a pill, follow a fad diet, make your body fake, or buy a new shiny object and that brings happiness.

Come on now, we all know that isn't true! I know people that take 5 to 10 minutes to make any post on social media with the layers and layers of filtersI

I still have no idea how to even add a filter. White spot on my nose? Fuck it. Red eyes? Get used to it. A keg instead of a 6 pack? I like large quantities.

Look, I love marketing, ethnography research, and selling as much as the next guy. But, this false images and idols are killing people. Literally. Bulimia and Anorexia are pretty much results of our society.

So glad Jax (a fave artist beforehand) makes such a point blank statement.

We call them fake, superficial, and talk so much shit, yet we all try to be them. I mean, I'm like 75% to being exactly like the Rock so I can't talk much either.

  Jokes aside, marketing has changed as well. The hard sell is gone, manipulation is old school, and quality companies are being recognized.

Now, Victoria's Secret has some awesome products. And the models are cool people and some do help change the world and bring issues to light.

But, you don't have to be a size 0 to live your best life. A quick diet, adding fake shit, taking some pill for a band aid fix, or pretending to be someone different really can hurt that mental health.

Be yourself. Be loved for you. I love you just as you are. Let me give you a hug. You are amazing. You can do big tings.
